Public Safety Dive Supply and Services (PSDS), was founded in 2004 with a dedicated mission to two unwavering goals:

• To create an energetic learning environment for public safety personnel, including fire departments, law enforcement and emergency medical services.  Public Safety Dive Supply offers coursework of undisputed excellence in public safety diving, swift water rescue, surface ice rescue and drowning investigations.

• To provide the highest quality equipment at the most affordable prices for the professional rescuer and rescue team regardless of paid or volunteer status in pursuit of their commitment to public safety.

About Our Students

Public Safety Dive Supply & Services has an annual enrollment of more than 500 students representing law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, search and rescue agencies and public safety personnel. We have many students who return to add to their skills and they are from throughout the United States.  Our classes range from basic awareness instruction in water safety and public safety dive operations to highly technical levels of training. PSDS coursework is demanding, thorough and adheres to the highest level of professionalism.  Our students understand that the rewards of training far outweigh the work.

About Our Instructors

Our instructors are simply the best. They care about each student as an individual. They respect the fact that those who want to further their public safety training do so out of commitment and purpose. Most of our industry is tied to NFPA, OSHA or some other oversight agency and to that point; our coursework and instructors meet and exceed all agency requirements for training and safety. Our courses are P.O.S.T. approved.

As we continue to grow, we are always seeking candidates who are dedicated to employing and exercising the skills that they feel make them “the best of the best.” We encourage candidates who wish to have a career in water operations training to contact us to learn more about working directly with Public Safety Dive Services through our licensing program.

About the PSDS Academy

Public Safety Dive Supply and Services is located in Grand Junction, Colorado nestled between mountains and high desert canyons. Our area is home to some of the best outdoor recreation in the country and enjoys 300 days of sunshine a year.

The PSDS Academy is the newest segment of our ever growing public safety division. We have the facilities to accommodate any kind of water rescue challenge including a world class pool facility. Grand Junction affords our students numerous bodies of water with very different characteristics to simulate any type of training situation.
